London has a reputation as not being a particularly cycle-friendly place. This is unfair and somewhat inaccurate for a city with one of the world’s largest urban cycle networks. Cycling has undergone a huge renaissance in the last few years due to massive government investment into making London more amenable to cyclists.
Our guided bicycle tours avoid busy roads and instead use traffic-calmed minor roads, back streets, riverside paths and bicycle routes through parks. Your guides are experienced cyclists who will ensure that you remain safe at all times. As passionate cyclists, one of the reasons we set this business up is to show to visitors that cycling is an immensely enjoyable way to see our city.
As long as you can ride a bike and are able to follow instructions from your guide, you’ll be absolutely fine. Everyone gets a chance to try out their bikes before we start the tour. Even if you haven’t ridden a bike for years you’ll be surprised how quickly it all comes back to you. It’s just like...err...riding a bike!
We include all safety gear along with the bikes, including helmets, lights and reflective clothing.
No. Our tours are flat as a pancake.
Actually, despite what is said about the British weather, the London region actually gets less rain annually than either Jerusalem or Beirut! But that’s missing the point. Our tours go ahead rain, hail or shine. Bring suitable clothing if you think the weather looks suspect. It’s only water anyway. You won’t dissolve!

No. We use our own special-purpose ‘Brompton’ bicycles. Standard bikes cannot be accommodated on boats and water taxis we use on our tours and all riders must therefore use our equipment.
Yes. It’s essential that you book online or call/email ahead to let us know you’re coming. Tours are kept deliberately small (maximum of 10 participants) to make them more personable and enjoyable. View our booking information.
Easy. Our guide will meet you outside Bermondsey Underground Station, which is on the Jubilee Line (the silver-coloured one), just one stop from London Bridge. There’s only one exit to the street, so you can’t miss us.
Bermondsey is in Travelcard Zone 2. Get a paper one day travelcard or an Oyster card from any tube station rather than paying cash to use the Underground as it is much cheaper. Our base, on the riverfront, is just a 3 minute walk away from the station.
For a Travel Planner visit Transport for London.
We provide backpacks for you to carry valuables in. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Anyone with larger items of luggage needing to be stored can do so securely at our base.
At present it is not a service we provide, we are purely a London Bike Tour company, but it is a service we are looking into and may do so in the future.
